The Writing Center is a free service for SDSU students and faculty. The tutors are helpful graduate and undergraduate students who are specially trained in tutoring writing.
The Writing Center uses WCONLINE, web-based software that allows students to schedule appointments online at their convenience. The Center encourages students to schedule tutoring appointments online at http://writingcenter.sdsu.edu/appointment.html.
During the 30-minute sessions, tutors collaborate with students to identify strengths and weaknesses and to suggest ways students can enhance their writing. The sessions allow students to have a conversation about their work in order to help them figure out ways to improve their writing.
