Brown Girl Dream Performance Flyer

Brown Girl Dreaming, Jacqueline Woodson’s lyric memoir about finding her voice as a young African American writer, will be collaboratively adapted for performance by the students in Professor Dani Bedau’s THEA 510 advanced Creative Drama course. This 30-minute adaptation will focus on themes of civil rights, education and learning, and growing up African American in the 1960’s and 70’s. This hybrid piece will feature live performance and a range of visual and mediatized images. SDSU campus performances will take place in the Digital Humanities Center, LA 61 (Bottom of the Dome). 

Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 at 1:00pm.
