Learn why the film adaptation was considered a bomb. Jan Susina, Professor of English at Illinois State University will examine Walt Disney's long interest and various attempts to adapt Lewis's Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to the screen. The presentation will examine reasons why, when Disney finally released Alice in Wonderland as a full-length animated film in 1951, it was considered both a critical and financial failure.
