The Digital Humanities Center, in partnership with the School of Theatre, Television, and Film, is hosting VR Fridays weekly starting on February 14, 2020. Led by TTF faculty member Sam Shpigelman, VR Fridays feature:

Workshops 10:00AM - 11:40AM
Expert Office Hours 12:00PM - 1:00PM
VR Equipment Training Workshops 1:00PM - 2:00PM​

These activities are part of the new AR/VR/New Media Production Studio in the DH Center (LA 61, Bottom of the Dome), open to all SDSU facuilty, staff, and students (upon completion of equipment training). Learn more.

02/21 – Creating Realistic Volumetric Sky in Maya
02/28 – Workshop Series Begins: Basic Digital Content Creation for Animation, Gaming and Virtual Reality. Module 1: Introduction to Maya
03/06 – Module 2: UV Unwrapping, Texturing and Lighting in Maya and Photoshop
03/13 – Module 3: Introduction to animation in Maya
03/20 – Module 4: Introduction to Unity3D
03/27 – Module 5: Constructing Modular Environment in Maya and assembling in Unity3D
04/03 – Spring Break - No workshop
04/10 – Module 6: Intro to Real-Time Shaders and Light and Visual Effects in Unity3D


This event is part of the Creative Workshop Series in the Digital Humanities Center. These workshops are dedicated to artistic creation including 3D animation, VR, and electronic literature.
