Finding aid database

Did you know the SDSU library has an entire department devoted to special collections and university archives?

After the Library fully reopens on August 20, you'll be able to visit the Special Collections and University Archives department to view rare and unique items up close and personal. In the meantime, you can search through over 400 of their collections online by using the Finding Aid database: https://archives.sdsu.edu/.

A “finding aid” describes the contents of an unpublished archival, or manuscript collection so that users can access this information with relative ease. These collections often include items such as correspondence, diaries, maps, university records, organizational records, photographs, and audio recordings. Best of all, many of these items can’t be found anywhere else! So whether you’re interested in the history of San Diego State, or the personal papers of famed serial killer Carl Panzaram, the Finding Aid database is a good place to start!
