Food friendly Seating

During the 2014 spring break, the casual seating/food friendly area on the 3rd floor of Love Library was closed for renovation. The work, funded by the student use fee and a one-time allotment from Academic Affairs, included:

  •     New painting, improved lighting, upgraded electrical
  •     New tables, new seating, new study carrels
  •     Electronic recharging stations
  •     Paper towel and wet wipe dispensers

The renovation added 75 chairs to this area, increasing the seating in LL300 by 45%.  Better seating in the library is a high priority for our students.

Quiet Study Area

For the ultimate distraction-free environment, look no further than the newly renovated quiet study room. It features an array of seating options all geared toward creating a focus friendly setting.

"The new environment [of the quiet study area] transformed my ability to concentrate. I love the vibe and the feeling you get when you walk into the room. I look forward to studying there.” -- Marie J. Brown is a 4th year transfer student majoring in Sociology and pre-law.
