Putting students in naturally lighted areas of the library is one of the priorities of the Library Space Plan.  Over time, books will be moved away from the sun’s damaging rays.  Areas around windows will be focused on seating.

The corners of Love Library create a special opportunity for study areas.  The SE corner of Love Library’s 4th floor was our first corner remodel.  Six study rooms were renovated along the window side.  Each room was equipped with a table, chair, a whiteboard as well as lovely views of campus.  Study and student friendly furniture in the large corner area provides many different seating options. Flooring enhancements and more electrical plugs for powering devices were part of the work.  Click below on photos to enlarge images.
