Witches Night

Join us for "Witchcraft and Witch Hunting --- Texts and Contexts," a lecture from Dr. Elizabeth Pollard. She will discuss her work on 4th-century ritual handbooks and the Malleus Maleficarum (a witch-hunting manual) as well as everything from practice to accusation to classical themes regarding witches and their early modern appropriation. Special Collections & University Archives will provide a short talk and display of its growing witchcraft collection, ranging from rare witch-hunting manuals to witchy comics! Three students will also showcase their digital projects about witchcraft and the Salem witch trials.
