Reserve a Study Room
Study Rooms in the Library
The University Library has open study rooms that can be used on a first-come, first-use basis, rooms that can be reserved for 3 or more people, and single-use rooms.
Study room use is available to SDSU students, faculty and staff only. Reservations for special study rooms require a current RedID for use. Individuals not affiliated with the university will be asked to vacate these areas
Reserve a Group Study Room
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have SDSUid to make reservation
- Must have ID card or confirmation email to be let in
- Choose between a room in the boxes below and select an available (green) time.
- Then CLICK the "Submit" button, the "Continue" button, and finally ENTER and SUBMIT your information to receive an email confirmation.
- All rooms are equipped with a table and chairs and display monitors. Wireless connectivity is available
- Reservations are required to use the Group Study Rooms. Rooms can be reserved online for up to 4 hours.
- A reservation confirmation email will be sent to your SDSUid email address. Save the confirmation email, as it will be used to verify your room reservation.
- Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance
- Those without a valid reservation will be asked to vacate the room.
- There is a 30 min grace period for reservations. If the group has not checked in within 30 minutes of the start of the reservation time, the reservation will be lost, and another group may use the room.
- Keys can be checked out from the Info Desk for 4 hours. All keys must be returned to the Info Desk at the end of a reservation.
- Please return the key as a courtesy to others if you do not plan on using the room for the whole checkout period.
- Users may only have one Group Study Room key checked out at a time
- A $75.00 billing fee will be assessed, and a hold may be placed on your academic record for any unreturned or lost keys.
- Group Study room keys may not be duplicated.
- Group Study Rooms are limited to groups of 3 or more people and no more than the listed room capacity may be in the room at a time. Failure to follow occupancy rules may result in the reservation being denied or canceled.

- Whiteboard markers, erasers, and HDMI cable adapters are available for loan from the Info Desk
- Three or more people must occupy the room at all times
- The library is not responsible for personal materials left in the rooms
- Please shut the door when using the room
- When done using the room, please clean up and leave it as you found it.
- Library staff reserve the right to refuse the use of the room and inspect the room during a reservation.

Reserve a Single-Use Room
Single-Use Rooms provide a quiet space for virtual job interviews, telehealth appointments, presentation practice, and attending Zoom classes.
The rooms are equipped with a chair, table, and power. Computers and similar technology are not provided.
We encourage users to use headphones to preserve privacy and reduce noise in the surrounding spaces.
Anyone with an SDSUid can access the rooms by making a reservation online and checking out a key from the Circulation Desk by presenting their current SDSUcard.

- Reservation can be made up to 120 days in advance
- A person can make a maximum of 4 reservations per week
- Those without a valid reservation will be asked to vacate the room.
- Keys can be checked out from the Library Circulation Desk for 2 hours. All keys must be returned to the Library Circulation Desk at the end of a reservation
- Please return the key as a courtesy to others if you do not plan on using the room for the full checkout period
- Users may only have one Single-Use Room key checked out at a time
- A $75.00 billing fee will be assessed, and a hold may be placed on your academic record, for any unreturned or lost keys.
- Single-use room keys may not be duplicated
- Single-Use Rooms are limited to one person only because the room is very small. If two or more users attempt to use the room, the reservation will be denied or canceled.
- The library is not responsible for personal materials left in the rooms
- Please shut the door when using the room
- No food or open drinks are allowed
- When done with using the room, please clean up and leave it as you found it
- Library staff reserve the right to refuse the use of the room and inspect the room during a reservation
- After you check out the key from the Circulation Desk located on the First Floor under the Library Dome Entrance
- Head through the Donor Hall to the Love Library building
- After entering the Love Library Building, take the elevator to the 4th floor
- Once you exit the elevator, walk through the right doorway straight ahead and turn right
- Follow the book stacks and turn left at the end of them
- The rooms will be on your right side
