Library to Adjust 24/7 Area Hours, Expand Hours During Finals

Beginning with the start of the academic year, the University Library will shift the schedule of its After-Hours Study Area (previously called the 24/7 Study Area) to offer late-hour access when demand is at its highest.
“Students told us they needed additional access to the library during finals, and we are responding by expanding 24/7 access when it matters most,” said Scott Walter, University Library dean. “At the same time, we’re ensuring students have round-the-clock access to digital resources and support tools throughout the year.”
New hours as of the fall are as follows (SDSU Imperial Valley hours remain the same):
Love Library
After-Hours Study Area
Sunday: 12 p.m. – 12 a.m.
The change in hours reflects student use data showing low overnight traffic during non-finals periods, and allows the library to continue to invest in resources and services that better support both the student and research communities.
Updated hours and digital access tools are available online. Library users are encouraged to always check the website for current hours as they do change for holidays, school breaks, and unforeseen circumstances.
