Partners

Collaboration and community engagement are among the core values embraced by the San Diego State University Library, and these values form the foundation of powerful partnerships with colleagues across the university, around the San Diego and Imperial Valley regions, and in the broader cultural heritage community.

This list of partner programs represents strategic and sustained collaborative efforts to which the library currently commits time, resources, and expertise. This list will evolve over time, and you will find other examples of partnerships representing library contributions to learning, scholarship, and engagement at SDSU elsewhere on our web site.

Associated Students

The San Diego State University Library partners with Associated Students to design and deliver library services and public programs that enhance the SDSU student experience. The Library and A.S. collaborate on health and wellness programming each semester, especially around support and stress relief during final examination, but also on initiatives that address strategic interests and core concerns of both partners, including the SDSU Student Read-Out during Banned Books Week and public programs on sustainability. Associated Students has also been a critical stakeholder in the development and approval of the Library Student Use Fee, which provides direct support for library services, spaces, collections, and technology made available to our students.
