About our Events

Our programs continue to center care for our community, as we feature events that help us stay connected and support us in exploring approaches to mixed modalities in the future. Catch up on anything you missed from the 2021-2022 and 2020-2021 academic years at our Teaching Beyond Quarantine website.

Fall 2022

The Digital Humanities Initiative and DH Center are excited to offer a wide range of virtual and face-to-face programs. New this year, we’re featuring a series of events focused on digital ethnic studies, funded by the new SDSU College of Arts and Letters (CAL) Interdisciplinary Research Cluster program. See below for upcoming event listings. The full lineup is also available at Teaching Beyond Quarantine.

Spring 2022 Digital Humanities Project Showcase and DH Center Grand Re-Opening: May 6, 2022

Thanks to all who joined us for our 2022 Digital Humanities Showcase and Electronic Literature Competition. Explore this 360-degree interactive time lapse video of the showcase.

Virtual Workshops

The Digital Humanities Center proudly launched several new virtual workshop series in 2020-2021, including a five-part podcasting workshop series, a two-part ethical data workshop series, and a two-part digital humanities pedagogy workshop series. All workshop recordings are available on the DH@SDSU YouTube channel.

We're developing new workshops for 2022-2023, including a series on critical algorithms. In the meantime, check out the DH Center's self-paced tutorials for a range of other tools. Additional resources are available at our Digital Humanities LibGuide

As always, DH Center staff are still available for virtual consultations and DH support. Email us at or

Have an idea for an event or workshop you'd like to see in the center? Contact us at DH--we'd love to hear from you!
