DH E-Lit Book Talk Flyer: Mark Marino, Critical Code Studies
Feb 8 2021 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Join DH@SDSU and the Digital Humanities Center for the first of four virtual book talks.

Mark Marino (USC), Critical Code Studies (MIT Press, 2020). Critical Code Studies presents an argument that we must read code for more than what it does -- we must read code as text to understand how code means. Join us for a discussion about how we can become sophisticated readers of texts written for digital media, especially if we want our analysis to be more than screen-deep. Explore the Critical Code Studies website: https://criticalcodestudies.com/.

This event is part of the Spring 2021 programming co-organized by the DH Center and DH@SDSU. These programs provide opportunities for faculty, students, and community members to come together to critically explore the digital.
