Digital Humanities Center Events

About our Events

Our events and programs continue to center care for our community by providing a range of in-person, hybrid, and fully virtual modalities. Recordings of most of our virtual and hyrbid events are posted to the DH Initiative YouTube Channel for asynchronous engagement. You can also catch up on anything you missed from Fall 2020 through Spring 2023 at our Teaching Beyond Quarantine website.

Check back soon for details about our upcoming events for 2025-2026.

2025-2026 Event Highlights

This fall we're partnering with Matt Hebert, Interim Director of SDSU's School of Art + Design, to bring his sound installation, La Jolla Reading Room, to the DH Center. The installation runs through November 21. Check out our events calendar for associated events. And DH Center Program & Operations Specialist Patrick Flanigan will run two podcasting workshops to support our growing community of podcasters. Spring 2026 will feature exciting Electronic Literature (E-Lit) events, plus the return of our annual DH Showcase and student E-Lit competition.

Annual Digital Humanities Showcases

Our annual Digital Humanities Showcase is a celebratory exhibition of the creative-critical digital work happening at SDSU. Details about the 2026 Showcase are coming soon!

Our 2025 Digital Humanities Showcase and Electronic Literature Student Competition was held Friday, May 9, 2025 from 10am to 12pm. Thanks to all who contributed projects and joined us last year.
