Philosophy and Services
Students and faculty may learn more about SDSU resources to use for research by working closely with a subject specialist in the arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences. Subject librarians are listed at http://library.sdsu.edu/people/biblist.php. Subject research guides list important resources for research by discipline.
Group and Individual Study and Learning Spaces and Instructional Support
The research area offers group and individual study and learning spaces and librarian support at our research desk. Students and faculty may work individually with reference librarians or are invited to arrange classroom library instruction sessions with subject specialist librarians.
The Reference Collection offers current, high-quality scholarly electronic and print materials. These include the best-reviewed subject-based encyclopedias and dictionaries among thousands of other useful resources to use to complete research assignments and projects.
Many items in this collection can be borrowed for three days.
Find items in this collection by limiting to "Reference" in the advanced search screen in OneSearch. Want to recommend a source? Send your request to the reference collection development committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
