San Diego State University Oral Histories
Adams Endowment for the Humanities
Generous funding over the years from the John and Jane Adams Endowment for the Humanities has enabled the SDSU Library to conduct oral histories of San Diego State University faculty, prominent alumni and administrators.
The majority of the interviews were conducted by professional oral historian, Dr. Susan Resnik.

Creating Community: African Americans in San Diego
President's Leadership Fund
In conjunction with “Creating Community: African Americans in San Diego” the President’s Leadership Fund generously sponsored the oral histories of Leon Williams, Reverend George Walker Smith, Harold Brown, and Bishop George McKinney. Facilitated and conducted by SDSU Outreach Librarian Gloria Rhodes, the interviews primarily document the political and social struggles and successes experienced by African Americans in San Diego.
